| Visco elastic memory foam bedding pillow topper |
Visco elastic memory foam bedding was originally developed for the NASA space program to relieve pressure on astronauts caused by "G-Forces" during take off. Visco-elastic, or memory foam, is five times denser than regular foams and is temperature sensitive. In normal temperatures it is firm, but when you lay down to sleep it reacts to your body's temperature and molds itself to your shape. Weight is distributed more evenly, relieving pressure and helping your body rest in a more orthopedically correct position. NASA originally developed visco elastic memory foam bedding, technically "visco-elastic foam," for use by astronauts. The idea was to create a foam that would sense the body temperature and weight of the astronaut and then gently conform to the shape of his or her body, providing the perfect amount of support over an extended period; and particularly during periods of increased G-forces, such as lift-off and re-entry.
The temperature-smart foam adjusts to your shape and your movement for all night comfort. We have sold to hundreds of customers who have suffered through chronic pain, typically in the back or neck. It is this muscle tension that builds over the sleep period, and produces the morning discomfort and pain in the lower back area. Now an overly firm mattress creates uncomfortable pressure points in your shoulders and hips. This in turn, causes you to toss and turn restlessly throughout the night.
